Actuarial Training Program Supports Knowledge Development
The Actuarial Student program at Transamerica Reinsurance enables actuarial students to develop their professional knowledge and experience while pursuing Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
Emphasizing exam progress and work performance, the program supports students with on-the-job training, study time and materials, intensive seminar attendance, bonus incentives and payment of course and testing fees as well as professional dues. In return, the program expects students to bring their personal commitment to progress rapidly through the training and examinations while making meaningful contributions to the company’s success.
To participate in the program, an actuarial student must first be hired into an open actuarial career path position. Continued eligibility is based upon both satisfactory work progress and satisfactory progress through actuarial exams. Each student is required to write at least one course during each exam sitting and pass at least two courses over the last five sittings. Full eligibility guidelines and program details are available once a student has been admitted to the program.
